Insurance Info
The first is insurance (we know, super exciting). If you are buying a rental policy, click the button below for information on how (see Option 2 - Renter’s Insurance):
If you plan on using your own policy, you need to call your agent to see if our vehicles will be covered (not many companies will cover campervans). If you are covered, bring a copy of your insurance card or on your phone.
Satellite Communication device
Next, we are providing a satellite communication device with all vehicles. We use a device called the Bivy Stick and it is similar to a Garmin InReach, It will allow you to send urgent text messages when out of cell service. Before arriving, download the app to use the device and create an account. When you come for pickup we will review how to use it. The app is free and we don't charge for messages as long as you don't go overboard.
DIRECTIONS FOR VEHICLE PICKUP
Go ahead and double-check directions to our shop and operating hours here. We are open 9am-4pm Monday through Saturday. We are closed Sundays for pickups and you can return doing a key drop.
Our address is 1830 W 64th Ln, Unit A Denver CO 80221
*Tip for Denver Airport
If you are flying in, you can grab an Uber/Lyft to easily to get to us. Here is the official rideshare info:
Passengers who have requested rides through the Lyft and Uber apps should follow signs for ground transportation then exit the terminal through doors 506-510 (west side) and 507-511 (east side) on Level 5 near baggage claim and proceed to Island 5 to meet your driver. If you go the east side, you will get matched with a driver faster!

Navigation
For navigation while out on your trip we will provide topo maps and a road atlas. We also recommend you use some mapping apps that are available on your smartphone. There are a ton out there but here are a few free ones we really like:
COTREX: Made by Colorado Parks and Wildlife and a great all-around map resource. In the app you can download areas ahead of time to use when off-line.
Pro Tip: When downloading areas ahead of time, we like to download both the topo and satellite layers.
GAIA: The app is popular in the overland community and allows you to import/export GPS tracks. If we are providing driving routes or campsite waypoints, this app is how you will view them.
Google Maps: You can download areas ahead of time so you can view and navigate in the backcountry.

On this trip you may be camping in backcountry campsites called dispersed sites. They are in more remote areas, free, open to anyone, and first come first serve. These are found throughout Colorado and western states and something you should try! The concept can feel a little intimidating but we can help get you there.
